Volkswagen automobiles are all set to launch a future of their leading model Vento as Volkswagen Virtus in Indian markets by 2021. The design of this model will be performed on MQB-AO-1N platform. Upon the launch of Virtus in Indian markets, the retirement of Vento is made sure by VW group. This update will replace the present models of Volkswagen Vento. Current Vento is designed as per PQ24 platform which will be changed to MQB-AO-IN platform in its update. MQB-AO-IN is platform with also underpins next generation VW Polo, India. The Virtus would have greater dimensions than Vento. The leading car on grounds of cabin space and class, the Maruti Ciaz would be a tough competition for Virtus. The increase of nearly 5 cm in wheelbase assures more space in interior of Virtus. Giving a slight difference in its front-view and rear view booth, the Virtus is expected to have a great impact on markets.

The highlighted features here are new integrated spoiler and refreshed tail-lamps. On the inner side, the car comprises of 10.2 inch TFT digital speedo console and 8-inch touch screen infotainment system. The heaviness of Virtus is expected to be lesser than Vento as it is designed as per the new platform. As a result of lower weight, the coming VW Sedan is capable of boosting higher performance and fuel mileage than Vento. The engine specification include 1.2 litre TSI turbo Petrol and 1.5 litre TDI turbo diesel.
